Description

Luce was created in the 1990s as a joint project between the Frescobaldi family and Robert Mondavi, and is now made by Frescobaldi. It was one of the first wines to blend Sangiovese with Merlot in Montalcino.

The vintage 1999. 1999 is a great, classic Tuscan vintage of structure and depth.

Black cherry, plum, sweet spice, vanilla and cocoa; round, generous and polished.

Service & pairing. Serve at 17–18 °C in a large glass. Decant younger vintages for one to two hours; stand older bottles upright the day before and decant gently. Pair with grilled meats, pasta with meat sauce or aged cheeses.
