Description

Tua Rita, a small family estate in Suvereto on the Tuscan coast, gained international fame in the 1990s with Redigaffi, a 100% Merlot of remarkable concentration from a single vineyard.

The vintage 1997. 1997 was a hot, celebrated Tuscan vintage of rich, ripe wines.

Ripe plum, black cherry, chocolate, coffee and sweet spice; opulent, velvety and dense, with a long finish.

Service & pairing. Serve at 17–18 °C in a large glass. Decant younger vintages for one to two hours; stand older bottles upright the day before and decant gently. Pair with braised beef, duck, game or aged cheeses.
