Description

Guado al Tasso is the Antinori estate in Bolgheri, between the Tuscan hills and the sea. Its flagship Bolgheri Superiore is built on Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

The vintage 2001. 2001 is one of the great classic Tuscan vintages, balanced and long-lived.

Blackberry, cassis, plum, Mediterranean herbs and sweet spice; rich, rounded and smooth, with a long finish.

Service & pairing. Serve at 17–18 °C in a large glass. Decant younger vintages for one to two hours; stand older bottles upright the day before and decant gently. Pair with grilled meats, lamb or wild boar.
