Description

Château Latour à Pomerol is a small Pomerol estate, farmed and vinified for decades by the Moueix team. Merlot dominates, with a little Cabernet Franc, on gravel and clay soils near the church of Pomerol.

The vintage 1990. 1990 is one of the great vintages of its era: a hot, dry year that produced wines of richness, ripe fruit and balance, now drinking magnificently.

Ripe plum, black cherry and fig, truffle, cocoa and sweet spice; a round, silky palate with soft tannins and a gentle, earthy finish.

Service & pairing. Serve at 16 °C after a gentle decanting. Lovely with roast duck, veal with mushrooms, lamb or a mature Brie.
