The vintage 1982. 1982 is a great, classic Piedmont vintage, now in glorious maturity.
Rose, red cherry, tar, dried herbs and spice; fine, firm tannins and a long, savoury finish.
Service & pairing. Serve at 17 °C in a tall Nebbiolo or Burgundy glass. Decant younger vintages for two hours or more; older ones gently, to separate the sediment. Pair with tajarin with truffle, brasato or aged cheeses.
