Description
Richebourg is one of the most opulent grands crus of Vosne-Romanée, the village of Burgundy’s most famous red wines. Domaine Jean Gros belonged to one of the historic branches of the Gros family of Vosne.
The vintage 1982. 1982 was a large, warm vintage giving soft, generous Pinot Noir, now fully mature.
Mature and complex: dried cherry, plum, sweet spice, incense, leather and truffle, with a silky, fading texture and a long finish.
Service & pairing. Serve at 15–16 °C in a wide Burgundy glass. Decant young bottles briefly; open mature ones an hour ahead and pour gently, leaving any sediment in the bottle. Pair simply with roast game birds or truffle dishes and let the wine lead.
