Description
Domaine Leflaive is the emblematic estate of Puligny-Montrachet and a pioneer of biodynamics under Anne-Claude Leflaive. Chevalier-Montrachet, on the stony slope just above Le Montrachet, gives the purest and most mineral of the Montrachet grands crus.
The vintage 2003. 2003, the heatwave year, gave rich, ripe and broad white Burgundies.
White flowers, citrus, pear and almond, with flint and a crystalline, saline minerality; concentrated yet weightless, with an endless finish.
Service & pairing. Serve at 12–13 °C, not too cold, in a large white Burgundy glass, and let the wine open in the glass. Magnificent with lobster, turbot, langoustines or Bresse chicken with cream.
