The vintage 1976. 1976 was a hot, dry year giving rich, powerful white Burgundies, now deeply mature.
Deep gold; honey, toasted hazelnut, beeswax, dried apricot and mushroom, with a nutty, savoury finish. A mature white whose condition depends on its long history.
Service & pairing. Serve at 12–13 °C, not too cold, in a large white Burgundy glass, and let the wine open in the glass. Pair with poultry with morels, mature Comté or enjoy on its own.
