Description
Domaine Bonneau du Martray has long been one of the largest owners of Corton-Charlemagne, with vineyards across the hill’s best slopes. Its Corton-Charlemagne is a benchmark for this grand cru.
The vintage 2008. 2008 is a racy, fine vintage for white Burgundy, with taut acidity and great purity.
Lemon, white peach, pear and flint, with hazelnut and a chalky, saline grip; taut and long, gaining honeyed richness with age.
Service & pairing. Serve at 12–13 °C, not too cold, in a large white Burgundy glass, and let the wine open in the glass. Pair with turbot, scallops, chicken with tarragon or aged Comté.
