Description
Ardbeg, on the south coast of Islay, is famed for powerfully peated single malt. Lord of the Isles is a 25-year-old limited edition from mid-1970s distillation, a period whose Ardbeg is particularly prized.
Peat smoke softened by age, with sea salt, citrus, honey, tar and dried fruit; complex and long.
Service & pairing. Serve neat at room temperature in a tulip-shaped nosing glass; add a few drops of still water to open the aromas if you wish. A collector’s bottle; if opened, enjoy slowly.
