Description
Domaine Armand Rousseau is the historic benchmark of Gevrey-Chambertin. Its Gevrey-Chambertin bottlings show the house style, purity, transparency and finesse, in a more accessible form than its grands crus.
The vintage 2009. 2009 was warm and sunny, giving ripe, generous and seductive red Burgundies.
Red and black cherry, raspberry, rose petal and a touch of spice; fresh, silky and precise, with a mineral finish.
Service & pairing. Serve at 15–16 °C in a wide Burgundy glass. Decant young bottles briefly; open mature ones an hour ahead and pour gently, leaving any sediment in the bottle. Pair with roast chicken, coq au vin, mushroom dishes or Comté.
