Description

Masi, one of the historic houses of Valpolicella, is a specialist in dried-grape wines. Older Amarone labels still carried the traditional name ‘Recioto della Valpolicella Amarone’.

The vintage 1993. 1993 was a good vintage in Valpolicella; the wine is now mature.

Dried cherry, raisin, spice, tobacco and cocoa; mature, warm and smooth.

Service & pairing. Serve at 17–18 °C in a large glass, decanted an hour or two ahead. Pair with braised meats, game or aged cheeses.
