Description
This Legacy Edition of Dom Pérignon 2008 honours Richard Geoffroy, the cellar master who led Dom Pérignon from 1990 to 2018, and marks the handover to his successor. The 2008 vintage, late-ripening and cool, is widely regarded as one of the great Champagne years.
The vintage 2008. 2008 is considered one of the finest Champagne vintages of recent decades: cool, late and racy, with remarkable tension.
Taut and luminous: lemon zest, white flowers, green apple and pear, then brioche, toasted almond and a long, chalky, saline finish. The tension of 2008 promises decades of development.
Service & pairing. Serve at 9–11 °C in a white-wine glass. Superb with oysters, scallops, sea bass, white truffle or aged Comté.
