Description

G.B. Burlotto, in Verduno, is one of the historic houses of Barolo. Monvigliero is Verduno’s greatest cru, and Burlotto’s version, made partly with whole bunches, is famous for its perfume.

The vintage 2011. 2011 was a warm vintage giving generous, approachable Nebbiolo.

Rose, violet, red cherry, white pepper and herbs; silky, airy and long.

Service & pairing. Serve at 17 °C in a tall Nebbiolo or Burgundy glass. Decant younger vintages for two hours or more; older ones gently, to separate the sediment. Pair with veal, agnolotti or truffle dishes.
