Description

Madonna del Piano is Valdicava’s top vineyard and its Riserva is produced only in the finest years. Valdicava, on the north-eastern side of Montalcino, is known for Brunello of great power.

The vintage 2010. 2010 is one of the greatest Tuscan vintages of recent decades, especially for Brunello: classic, fresh and deep.

Black cherry, plum, tobacco, leather, liquorice and spice; concentrated, powerful and very long.

Service & pairing. Serve at 17 °C in a tall Nebbiolo or Burgundy glass. Decant younger vintages for two hours or more; older ones gently, to separate the sediment. Pair with game, braised beef or aged cheeses.
